Hi
I am running version 2.3 now and had 2.2 going before.
I can't seem to get the macro security popup to pay attention to the fact that I have setup a trusted directory.
In Tools-Options-Security [Macro Security], you're supposed to be able to set a trusted directory so that macro's use does not have to be confirmed.
Has anyone successfully implemented this feature in Windows XP or ... out of curiosity on linux?
Thanks

Hi,
I don't understand exactly what is your problem
Yes, macro security works, already in OOo 2.2 and before.
Yes, trusted directories feature works.
A popup as you say will appear if :
- security level is not low, but medium, high or very high
- there are macros in the document
- the document is not in a trusted directory (including sub-directories)
The text of the warning message depends on the security level.
For macros inside a form within a Base document, there is currently always a warning message. See Issue 73705 (to be corrected in OOo 2.4)

Re: Does macro security setting work on windows XP
Just to follow on what the last poster said - Starting with 3.0 Macros embedded in forms, embedded in odb files will NOT be allowed. The odb file itself will finally have the ability to have an embedded library and at this point only macros in this location will be supported.
The specifics of how this will be implemented are being discussed at this moment, the initial draft of that specification is at
