Jave Runtime Environment
I am trying to start a database for my wife's eBay store. I keep getting the JRE needed error. I have downloaded ver. 19 from Oracle. I ran the .exe file and still cannot find JRE. Is the some settings I"m missing? Some sort of pointer? Help!

Re: Jave Runtime Environment
Try this: Troubleshooting Open/LibreOffice and Java
You need to watch. If at the java site you choose the 'online installer' then when you run it on your system, and if you system is 64-bit, then the online installer will install JRE 64-bit. Whereas what you need for OpenOffice is 32-bit JRE.
LibreOffice does have a 64-bit application and for a variety of reasons you would be better of switching to LibreOffice. There are several good reasons for switching to LibreOffice, some of which can be read here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information
