Base ignores JRE (in a virtual machine)

Postby Christian Lehmann » Sat Jan 11, 2014 9:06 pm

OS: Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit version (in a virtual machine)
Apache OO 4.0.1
Java: usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk-amd64/jre

In the OO settings, I told OO to use the JRE indicated (having read that version 7 is incompatible). I restarted the VM. In the little window of the options menu, OO shows the JRE as if it were used, but it does not use it. This is plain because all search through the database proceeds sequentially.

In another Ubuntu 12.04 installation, I have installed LibreOffice (, same version of Java, and there Base works.

Please tell me what to do in order to make Apache OO Base work.
Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1
