Conditional Data Copy

Postby TheoKondak » Mon Nov 04, 2019 4:47 pm

Hello, I am new to Open Calc, and to be honest I am not sure how to even explain what I want to do.

So I have a document with content for some Articles. Each article has several images. It looks like this in the document (Row 2 till row 5):

What I want to do is for each article, to have all the URLs in one cell (Row 7).

So my question is, how can I copy all the URLs and paste them on the first instance of the article.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

You've posted in the Calc forum so I will explain how to do it with formulas. See: [Solved] Merge rows with same id
Add new columns shown in yellow. Click the autofilter in E1 and choose 1 (TRUE). Copy the filtered cells in columns F and G somewhere else. However, you won't have column C (adjust the formula in column G) of my attachment there and you want a new lines instead of
(change "
" to CHAR(10) in column G). For further assistance attach a document demonstrating the situation (remove confidential information then use Post Reply, not Quick Reply, and don't attach a picture instead of the document itself).

You would need to write a macro for that. If you want to investigate, open a new topic in the Macros and UNO API forum. The method above uses new cells for the merged data but requires only simple formulas.

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
