[Issue] Chart as a Seperate sheet?

Postby BenG » Thu Apr 17, 2008 5:07 pm

Is it possibel to have a chart as a seperate sheet a'la MS Excel?

While I can appreciate is can be useful - I would prefere to have my chart seperate from the data?

I searched with "chart sheet" ;)
BTW, I've added a link to a bug report in the other thread (we've cross-posted I think). You should subscribe and vote for it (up to 2 votes per issue) . I tag the thread as Issue instead of solved because this is only a workaround. It will draw the attention of other users.

Data in sheet 1.

Go to sheet 2, and start the chart.

You'll see options, one of which is Data Range. Select that, and there's a window for entering the source. Click the icon to the right of that window.

Go to sheet 1 and select the pertinent data.

Poof! The chart using that data is in sheet 2.

Or, do you means specifically printing on a separate sheet? You will simply have to be sure you have defined your print ranges, and use the Page Break Preview to set page limits.

David.

Yes. No configuration needed by the user. No cell, just the graph.
