[Solved] Titled spreadsheets open as untitled

Postby Godrevyphil » Sun Apr 13, 2008 6:13 pm

(SOLVED)Ever since my conversion to version 2.4 (from2.3) my titled spreadsheets open as Untitled 1. It can be annoying when you have to "Save as" again. I am new to Open Office and converted only after using it for 2 weeks, I am probably doing something stupid!

This usually occurs if files are marked as read-only for some reason.

One other possibility is that the files were saved as templates documents (.odt) and not regular spreadsheets (.ods). Opening a template document will give you an "Untitled" window.

It seems OK now, thanks for all your suggestions. I updated to 2.4 version without removing version 2.3.1, tonight I removed all and started again, and it is alright now. It might have been something to do with templates as I have did have some difficulty learning how to use them properly. :D
