You need to provide information about what operating system you are using (Linux, Solaris, OSX, Windows ect) version of OpenOffice.org you created this spreadsheet on, what errors you got, and what you have already done to try and fix it... such as, have you searched the forums? have you tried to repair the document already? do you have automatic backups turned on? have you tried recovering from a backup?

A similar problem was discussed just recently on the forum here: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1532 Maybe these steps will help you fix your broken spreadsheet.

Did you check out the link above? This problem can usually be repaired by following the steps outlined in the other post. The same basic steps can be followed for any OpenOffice.org document that has this kind of error.

There was an error in content.xml: an element was named "Style:style" instead of "style:style"

How does that kind of thing happen? A typo in the output filter?

Try this one:

Good question. If you search on the error message you get when you try to open the broken document, you get loads of hits, particularly around the 1.9 release.... so whatever is causing it to crop up from time to time has been around for a while. I found at least one OOo Issue open on the problem as well, but no activity on it.

If it was a typo in the output filter, you would expect it to be there all the time... not sporadically. Strange.
