[Solved] Prevent AutoInput from choosing a specific word

Postby sliptie » Thu Dec 26, 2019 7:08 pm

In 1 specific column I've typed the same word ~900 times. I've typed 1 word that begins with the same letter once as the column title. Until today, whenever I typed the letter, it auto capped and filled in the word that I've used hundreds of times. This allowed me to move quickly though the data entry process. Starting today, it has begin filling in the word I've used 1 time. How can I force it back to the way it used to be?

I know it may seem trivial, but this step multiplied over a thousand entries greatly increases productivity.

I believe you are asking about AutoInput, a feature which can be confusing and difficult to use (read link). I cannot find much documentation about AutoInput, but a test suggests that cells whose content is provided with a formula are not considered as a data source for AutoInput. If the word you've used once is Skolstrejk, use ="Skolstrejk" in the cell.

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can select the green checkmark icon at the same time.
