[Solved] Formula returns #VALUE! Instead of no value

Postby mickstereen » Mon Dec 23, 2019 10:59 pm

I have typed in the following formula: =IF(FIND("CAPITAL";B5);C5*-1;"") Where capital is in the "find" cell, it shows the correct amount in the target cell, but when the word "capital" is not found in the "find" cell I get "#VALUE!" in the target cell.

Thanks, Mick

Try
Code: Select all   Expand viewCollapse view
=IF(ISNUMBER(FIND("CAPITAL";B5));C5*-1;"")
Windows 10 and Linux Mint, since 2017
