[Solved] Location of default template

Where is the default template stored?

it's inside the OpenOffice program code, so it is not accessible to you. However, you can create a new spreadsheet, save it as a template, and make it the default using the File → Templates → Organize dialog. Those are saved in the template directory of your user profile. Read about templates in Help → Index or in User Guides (PDF) or searching for topics about this in the Calc Forum. Read about the user profile in our Tutorials section.

There isn't a predefined default template file (.ots). The settings used as default if no template file is involved are hard coded. You can, however, create a template file and use it by default for new documents of the respective class with the help of the template management ('Organize'). Import the file there and set it as standard.
On Windows 10: LibreOffice 6.2 and older versions, PortableOpenOffice 4.1.5 and older, StarOffice 5.2
