How to concatenate files from another file

Postby sbucareer » Wed Nov 13, 2019 1:52 am

Good day everyone. This has bee bugging me for some time.
I have a file called fixtures.csv

I have another excel file called soccerVista.cvs used in procesing each fixtures as the fixture files are too much. Like 1,000 fixtures of excel file. So what I did I was to use

'file:///document/soccer/EVO/2019-2020/SP1.csv'#$Sheet.2A and drag it to 12500 rows. The problem is the SP1, short for Spain Division One. I have more than 50 countries and over 110 divisions. It involves me changing the SP1 to N1 for Netherland Division one and drag down.

But what I wanted is a situation where a cell contains SP1 or N1, once it changes the whole data changes. Example

'file:///document/soccer/EVO/2019-2020/&B2&.csv'#$Sheet.2A

Cell B2=SP1

But the problem is that it doesn't work. I have tried everything. Please, help

'file:///document/soccer/EVO/2019-2020/&B2&.csv'#$Sheet.2A

I dont know that how and where are you using this URL string, bit it must use quote marks for concatenate the constant part of the string and the cell content.

Code: Select all   Expand viewCollapse view
"'file:///document/soccer/EVO/2019-2020/"&B2&".csv'#$Sheet.2A"

If you want to write a macro, then you must GET the cell first, and then must get the cell content by the relevant API functions. The simple reference (the cell name) will not work in a StarBasic macro.
