[Solved] Generated a double line I cannot delete.

Postby prjames » Mon Dec 23, 2019 4:53 am

I typed a series of ******* and then hit return. This caused a double line to appear: the top line is about twice as thick as the under line.

Even worse, when I hit the return key, another double line appears.

For some reason the back space does not delete the lines.

That is a paragraph border. Right click on the paragraph above the line and select Paragraph. On the Borders tab near the top left there is a small group of icons for selecting a border pattern. The leftmost one is for No Borders. Click on that and the black line will disappear.

If one gets such a double (or similar) line, an immediate Ctrl Z will undo it.
