[Solved] Possible Page Break Problem?

Postby scottroyle86 » Sat Dec 14, 2019 10:57 pm

So, at the end of my paper I have tried to put a Bibliography. BUT, everytime I just try to put the Bibliography on the very last page by itself I hit "enter, enter, enter..." and then suddently it DOES go to the next page, but like halfway down the page. And then when I try to backspace it, it'll go right back to the previous page, instead of to the top of the pager where I want it. This is also messing up me trying to make an automatic Table of Contents.

I tried placing the cursor at different areas and "Edit Paragraph" to uncheck "Insert" but it is never checked?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

If you want to start anything at the top of a new page, use Insert > Manual break > Page break. Never just hit ENTER to move to a new page.

You can modify the Bibliography Heading style to insert a page break before it, which is better than inserting a manual page break or a forced page break by hitting Ctrl+Enter. Don't repeatedly hit Enter for that.
