[Solved] Mail merge - Select address list: tables missing

Postby heinrich_d » Tue Dec 03, 2019 7:52 pm

I try to use the Mail Merge Wizard to create a letter. I can choose a calc-file using "Select Address List ..."
The cals-file contains links to other calc-files and I am being asked if I want to "Update all links".
Regardless of my answer the "Select Table" window does not show all tables of the calc-File.
The calc-file contains 7 tables but only 3 are shown. The one containing the address list is among the missing ones.
What can I do?

Open the database document. Do you see all tables in the tables section?
Notice the status bar. Is your database connected to the right spreadsheet document with the many sheets or is it connected to an older version of that file?
Call menu:Tools>Table Filter... This opens a dialog where you can hide tables which are nor relevant in database context.
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.

I probably found the source of the problem.
Those tables which have more than one empty row at the top are probably not transformed
and therefore not included in the created odb-file.
When I fill the field A1 in the previously missing tables they are all shown.
