Empty table list on MacOS (with psql and mysql drivers)

Postby Dmitrii » Wed Feb 17, 2016 4:43 pm

Hi,

I've tried different versions of 32 bit LibreOffice/OpenOffice under MacOS Yosemite and El Capitan. Now my current versions are: OpenOffice 32 bit 4.0.1 and LibreOffice 32 bit 4.3.7.2 under MacOS 10.11.3 (El Capitan). I've used the latest unicode driver versions of psql odbc (09.05.0100 built as universal 32/64 bit) and mysql odbc (5.3.2 32 bit for 10.7 osx) with 3.52.10 iODBC (http://www.iodbc.org/dataspace/iodbc/wiki/iODBC/Downloads) and got empty list of tables in base, queries worked normally. I tried to debug psql driver via mylog but nothing strange happened. Is it common problem in LO/OO to get list of tables under MacOS? Does anyone have the same problem on OSX or not? Can it be solved anyhow? On Yosemite I had the same problem, tried different versions of iODBC but didn't help. Though on windows these drivers work without any problems.

By the way, today I tried the latest 64 bit version of OpenOffice, that is 4.1.2 which worked very strange under El Capitan (sometimes could hang up or just not be closed at all). To use the 64 bit version I had to install 64 bit version of mysql driver, configured it via odbc.ini and odbcinst.ini (I used 3.52.10 iODBC manager). As a result I got empty list of tables. Is it OK for MacOS not to have list of tables or not?

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Please search first before posting. Base 4.1.2 doesn't work on Macs.

Search finds many matches for "Base" in the Mac OS X forum

If this solved your problem please go to your first post use the Edit button and add [Solved] to the start of the title. You can select the green checkmark icon at the same time.

Hi, ah I see, thanks for the info.
But what about old versions, say, the last one for mac 4.0.1? And let me check 4.1.1 version.

I believe 4.1.1 is OK, but I'm not a Mac user.

I've just checked the 4.1.1 version and indeed Base opened and closed without problems (thx a lot MrProgrammer and RoryOF) but I had the same problem as before - empty list of tables (checked with 64 bit MySQL ODBC driver). Can anyone check it on MacOS?
