Using functions for output

Postby chedderslam » Thu Aug 28, 2008 10:24 pm

I am just getting started using Sun's report builder, which was recommended here:

I can't quite figure out how to use it, though.

All I am trying to do is output the current date at the top of the report. I think I need to use a function, but I can't get the syuntax correct. No matter what I try, I just get a blank when running the report.

I have tried:
etc, etc.

Is there better documentation any where for the report builder? The download page has a couple of links to articles, but they are very brief.

Yes, those were the pages I have looked at. But they don't have any examples. Can somebody please help me get started?

I don't use the report builder add-on, but in the end all reports are embedded Writer documents. Once you created the report, open it in edit-mode (right-click>Edit...) and insert an ordinary Writer field.
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.
