[Solved] SUM function in Report

Hello,

I am trying to sum a column in a report. I cannot figure out how to do it.

I think I may have to create a query to sum the numbers first, but I can't even get that to work right.

Use Sun Report Buider, SRB documentation, with sum function, on OOo wiki.
AOO 4.0 and LibO 4 on Win 8

I actually found a pdf file titled "Life on the Report Tool Frontier: Rolling Your Own Reports in OpenOffice.org" by Solveig Haugland linked somewhere here on this forum.

It worked perfectly. The method used involved "create a calculated field on the report document itself, using the fields usually reserved for creating forms."

Exactly what I needed... step by step and idiot proof.
