[Solved] Report Builder Extension will not load

Postby Nocton » Wed Nov 20, 2019 7:01 pm

I have been using Base with the Oracle report Builder extension for many years with no problems. I now find that it has disappeared - the only cause perhaps is a recent Windows 10 update. When I go to reload it I get the message as in the attached picture. The system is clearly looking for the extension in a completely different folder from the folder selected. The path pointed to when I used the extension manager was "C:\Software\OpenOffice". I have never had this problem before. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

I've not encountered that problem but I would navigate to Tools>Extension Manager and Remove the ORB.
Next close all OpenOffice modules and exit the quick-starter if it is l.loaded.
Now open an OO module and attempt to Add the ORB extension from the location where you saved it.
If you continue having problems I would next try resetting your user profile.

Thank You. I reset the user profile as in the Tutorial "[Tutorial] Profile reset on Windows 10 - with images". That worked perfectly, even restoring the ORB and other extensions without further work.
