[Solved] How to remove whitespace around text

Just started using Draw. I'm using it to create wire diagrams by tracing over a scanned image that's in another layer.

Anyways, I need to place text over lines. To do it right, I need to make the fill of the textbox white. However, there is a tremendous amount of whitespace around the text that I can't figure out how to remove.

In the attached image, I made the fill black so you can see the white space. The spacing settings are all zero and won't take negative values. I essentially need the bounding box to be up close to the text inside it.

Greetings and welcome to the community forum!

Select the text box

Format > Text > Spacing to borders: (zero for all)

Is that what you're after?

Yup, that fixed it! Whats the difference between those space settings and the ones shown in the image I attached?

Those are spacing associated with the text paragraph formatting. They provide extra space before and/or after the paragraph, so they can add to the "spacing to borders" setting for the paragraphs at the top and bottom of the text box.
