Tab leaders in Draw

I created a text box in Draw and used it to list a schedule of events. I want it to look as follows:
Event...........................Time
Event...........................Time
I created tabs aligned to the right margin and selected the dots as my tab leader. When I am editing the text box the dots are there. When I click outside the text box they disappear. When I print the document the dots are not there. How do I make them visible?

Why use Draw? Why not Writer?

It's a long-standing problem. It's been "fixed" then it re-appeared recently; I don't see any active report for it currently.

I work around it by making my own leaders: plain lines, set to dotted line style. It's a nuisance but not too bad as long as the document doesn't change often.

I was using Draw because I am making a flyer to advertise an upcoming event. It has pictures in it so I thought Draw would probably work better for that. Maybe I'm wrong.

One workaround is to insert Writer objects instead of text boxes. It can be a bit fiddly to work with at times, but they keep the dots...

Insert - Object... - OLE object... - Text
