Using OO 4.1.2
IMPRESS?
Something new to me. I used to do a lot in MS PowerPoint but it got complicated and my interest waned. Now the spirit has hit again and I was surprised that there was no PowerPoint in OO. I was sure it was there when OO came out.
I read that OO Impress is much like MS PowerPoint.
2 Questions
Does Impress work like MS PowerPoint in that it lets you make a slide show with a background of music, and text over slide?
I can't find how to download Impress?
Thanks

One should download the entire OpenOffice suite; it is possible to install only some components, but the space saved is negligible.

Impress is in many respects functionally similar to PowerPoint, but it is not a clone of it, so there will be a learning curve. As you already appear to have OpenOffice installed (21 forum postings), it should already be on your computer.
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.7 on Xubuntu 18.04.4 (mostly 64 bit version) and very infrequently on Win2K/XP
