Hello,
New to OpenOffice. I currently own MS Office 2003. (No laughing, please) I will not buy a subscription to MS Office on line. Currently I have some Excel documents in DropBox created with OpenOffice software saved in Excel format which I want to edit on my iPad. I can see the DropBox documents, but when I try to edit them, the only choice is in Excel. Opens in Excel on line, but the message is that the document was created with an older version of Excel and I would have to buy the subscription to go on. Grrrr!
There has got to be something I’m not understanding here! I thought Microsoft allowed free access to their products with a reduced feature list. Ok, can somebody please help me with a workaround?
Thanks,
Jimmy

AOO doesn't have an iPad version; you might find something useful on this website. There is apparently also an app called Office700 which has been mentioned on this forum - see OpenOffice for Tablets.
