[Solved] That damn Reopening Windows Error Message

I posted this earlier under another discussion thread about this same error message, but was afraid it would get lost in the weeds.

I am also getting this error message "unexpectedly quit while reopening windows" and it won't go away. I just updated my OpenOffice to version 4.0.1 and no luck. I am up to date on my Mac OS as well - 10.8.5. I don't have this "saved application folder" under library from other threads. I've tried searching for an answer and none of the recommendations present solutions for my error because the solutions aren't there. This is the first time I have ever received this error message. I can't access any of my saved files to work on or create anything new. Kinda important for school.

Nevermind - pressing the Alt/Option button while going to the "Go" tab revealed the Library option and then the saved application folder. It wasn't easy to find, but deleting the org.openoffice.script.savedState file worked.

The past 2 updates to OpenOffice have posed some problems for me. Hopefully the newer versions will not have similar problems.

Any chance this bug will be fixed anytime soon? This is the second time within a week that I've had to execute this fix.

This is not a bug - it is due to improper close-down of your OpenOffice and/or computer. Don't be quite so hasty to shut down, allow an extra few seconds for things to happen and buffers to flush.

Hi,
I have in the German version of 4.0.1 a similar problem. The failure message occurred after the upgrade from Mountain Lion to Mavericks.
To the press the ALT key and the "Open window again" button did not help. I also cannot find the mentioned "org.openoffice.script.savedState " file on my MAC which needs to be deleted. Reinstallation of OO 4.0.1 also did not help.
I appreciate any further help.
