Last night I downloaded version 3.4.1. I am using Mountain Lion 10.8.2. When I try to open the OpenOffice it crashes.
Anybody else with this problem?

Is there any error message?
Did you install AOO in your applications folder?
Did you have a previous version installed?

I also have the same problem. It worked successfully until I installed Mountain Lion. I have uninstalled OpenOffice and then then tried to reinstall both previous versions and 3.4.1. The only way to quit OO is to force close up.
Re: OpenOffice 3.4.1 Crashes and won't open
Did you update from 10.7 or earlier? Or is this on a clean 10.8 install?
Have you tried repairing permissions?
10.8.1 came with my new mini last week, updated it to 10.8.2 and installed 3.4.1 fine. No installation issues as far as I am aware of. So, maybe there's some "left-over" byte somewhere.

I updated from 10.7 and I made a control of the hard disc before updating.

Same problem here with OO 3.3.0 and 3.4.1 after upgrading to Mountain Lion. Help, please.

Re: OpenOffice 3.4.1 Crashes and won't open
I have the same problem. I updated OpenOffice and it crashed ever time I tried to load it. I deleted and re-installed and had the same problem. Occasionally OO will open just fine, but then a dialogue box comes on the screen noting a former crash and asking if I want to resume the former Open Office window. However, that window does nothing, no matter which button I press. It also will not permit me to use the OpenOffice window that is behind it. My only option is to Force Quit OO.
I am very reliant on Open Office and have been for years. Please find a solutiion to this bug! Thanks
