I cannot solve the "Restore Windows" error. I have tried all the usual fixes, including those mentioned here. If I log on as another user, I'm OK. How do I completely completely, totally uninstall and reinstall?

When the registration window comes up again check "I do not want to register".

Re: "Restore Windows" error
Larry, I didn't get a chance to try your solution, although I think I tried it before. Instead, after logging on as another user, during which OO worked, I logged on as myself. There were no problems. I was able to start OO. The solution may be to log on as another user, somehow resetting the old (regular) user.

Re: "Restore Windows" error
Hey Folks,
This was driving me nuts for a while. Being a good internet citizen, I'm publishing the fix I found.
This was resolved for me by trashing this folder:
/Users/[me]/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice.org
and then starting up OO. The first time it gave me the Restore Windows dialog, so I force quit and started again. This time, I got the setup wizard for a new installation (enter your name, timezone, etc.). Completed that and zam - working Open Office.
Hope this works for you, and hope more that it's fixed in the next build!
Regards,
devzero

The correct solution is to delete the file "org.openoffice.script.savedState". It is located this folder:
/Users/<user name>/Library/Saved Application State
