Menu Bar Invisible

Post by kavkha123 »

Hi,

I've had a problem with open office and the menu bar has disappeared. I really don't know how to regain this toolbar and I've been trying for days. If anyone can help me that would great! Thanks in advance.

First thing to try is resetting the user profile.

In your posting you show the Writer window. The menu bar sits at the top of the screen, outside the Writer window, on the Mac OS (changed from the X11 version, if you ever used that). Did you just miss it?

Does the menu bar actually disappear when you switch to OOo? If so, it may be a case of "fullscreen hangup", which occurs sometimes (causing some elements to hide from sight). I believe the shortcut key for fullscreen is Shift+Command+J. Try pressing that twice.

If the menu bar (upper edge of your screen) is visible but goes blank (or keeps the menu items from the previous application), resetting the user profile is a more likely solution.
Apache OO 4.1.12 and LibreOffice 7.5, mostly on Ms Windows 10
