[Issue] Filter Selection list unordered

I've posted this in the Writer forum, because this is where I've come across it, but it applies equally to the other parts of OO.

When opening a file whose format OO doesn't recognise (e.g. a .docx file with the .doc extension), it shows a Filter Selection (see screenshot).
Roughly half-way through the list of 154 items!

The list is all over the place; there is no order at all. That makes it exceptionally hard to find what you're looking for; searching through the list of 154 items is no fun.

Is there any way to order the list? Alphabetically would be great; it would be even nicer if it could be grouped into categories, and alphabetically within that.

Flame icon removed. That icon means 'Tagged to a known issue' (TheGurkha, Moderator)
