If I wanted someone to build me a database?

Where would I look and how much would it be likely to cost me?
Yellow pages. Just get in contact with a local IT professional. No professional database developer will design anything in Base, but you may insist on connectivity through ODBC, so you can use the same database for office related tasks.
Base is not a database!. It is just a clunky frontend.
