[Solved] Crash opening document on MacOS 11.0 (Big Sur)

I now have big sur is and open office 4.1.8. open office crashes when trying to open document downloaded for school. It worked before the big sur update. Anything I can do. I really I don't like pages and numbers the stock application that come with macs

Try the latest LibreOffice Still version.

Are u talking about 6.4.7. Still branch

It works. But someday it would be nice to know why open office no longer works. Thanks. New program looks better than macs pages

Operating systems change over time. OpenOffice does not have sufficient developers since many years. Many of them switched to LibreOffice which is a by far more active project. OpenOffice is just a hollow brand mark by now.
