Club officers record

Post by jillmobley »

I am trying this again. The first time I tried it, two years ago, I got close to getting my many_to_many working. Then, the unthinkable happened, my database was corrupt, but I did not know. I saved over the top of my backup copy. Ack.

I am trying this again. I had the two databases with member names, offices, committees. I can not figure out how to add the year the position was held. Most years, members are on more than one committee.

Thank you in advance for any assistance. I know this seems easy for most, but I just can't get it!

Hello

Learn from this thar one copy is not always enough. How more important the data is how more copies you must have.

I understand that one is not enough. I had two copies, was happy with my progress, and saved over the top of my backup as well as my working copy. I did not know the database was corrupt. I have (of course) learned my lesson. Thank you for your thoughts on backups.

I am back to trying to figure out many-to-many. I may not be able to get Base to work for me as I am new to the world of databases. It seems like the perfect application to manage this information.

I am hoping somebody here will assist me with the design.

Hello

I have no idea about how to help you. I think read your old threads. Or make your question more clear

I am trying to keep track of club officers, and the years they held the offices or offices and the members that held those offices and what years they held the office.

For example-

Ideally, I could produce a couple of reports:
A report with all the presidents for each of the last few years
A report with all the offices held for a given member for the last few years

This club has typical officers - president, vice president, secretary, treasurer as well as several committee chairmen.

I hope this makes it more clear.

Is there a way to insert a page break after a group?
