OpenOffice.org 3.3 vs. LibreOffice 3.3

Are there any differences between OpenOffice 3.3 and LibreOffice 3.3 ?

For example features, interface and etc.

go-oo.org is the code base of LibreOffice.
http://go-oo.org/discover/ describes some of the differences from their point of view. Many of those features are experimental not well implemented, incomplete.

From practice, nearly all linux distros use OOo from go-oo source, for a long time.
Some derivative version of OOo on windows, such as OxygenOffice based on go-oo source, too.

I know this from my regular support on this forum. All(?) the office installations that come with Linux are derived from that code base and reveal certain bugs and not so well thought "features" that are not in the regular build from download.openoffice.org.

Most importantly, go-oo.org helps spreading Microsoft's OOXML format. There is no technical reason to write that format as long as MS Office fully supports the old binary format.

As a Linux user I do not install the OOo that comes with my distribution. I download and install manually like a Win user does.

I''ve installed RC2 of LibO 3.3 on Win XP and there are a few minor differences relative to OO.o 3.2.0 which I have been using for quite sometime. Whether they are genuine differences or just settings that need to be tweaked, is something I'll know over the next few days.

One clear issue is that "Record Macro" is not available by default. Apparently, it requires enabling experimental features in LibO 3.3 RC2: I got this impression from the changelog

The differences are marginal. OOo and LO are almost the same application by now.
