Hi,
Iam really frustrated with the speed of OpenOffice Calc.
For the last 5 years, speed of computers is gained by adding cores so OpenOffice is using less and less of new computers.
On a modern 8 Core machine it still takes up 15 seconds to load some complex table here updating the table if it's linked to another table is just as slow. Actually everything that is working on it with filters or cells that effect many others, the app feels very slow.
Are there any plans on improving Calc to work fast on fast machines?
All the best
Christoph

Calc's inefficiency is well-known; there are no specific plans that I know of to improve it, but I'm not a developer, so I may be unaware.

Do you save in native ODF? It may be faster than exported files in .xls.
