Hi All,
I am running OOo_2.4.0_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.
Every time I start OO (any of them), I get a little, dinky
4" by 4" window in the upper left of my screen, which
I have to resize.
Is there any way to change this default behavior?
Many thanks,
-T

Re: How do I remember windows size and position
Surely a windows manager issue. Do you use Compiz? If so, try to disable desktop effects through System>Preferences>Appearance>Visual Effects tab -> None.

This works for me: Resize window and shut down the office. I have no quick-starter, may be you need to shut down this trouble-maker as well. Next time I get a window with the same size as before.
Please, edit this topic's initial post and add "[Solved]" to the subject line if your problem has been solved.

Re: How do I remember windows size and position
I am using XFce 4.4.2. No other program (firefox, thunderbird, mouse pad, google earth,
Symphony, gimp, picasa, Virtual Box, etc.) is exhibiting this problem.
Don't know what Compiz is. Sorry.
Could find anything on the the survival guide
about posting my configuration. Maybe I just
missed it.
Question: is there a tmp or other file that
saves my positions that I may edit or erase and
start over?

Try to rename your OOo user profile (~/.opneoffice.org2).ToddAndMargo wrote:Question: is there a tmp or other file that saves my positions that I may edit or erase and start over?

[SOLVED] Re: How do I remember windows size and position
Yipee! Erasing my ~/.openoffice.org2 directory did the trick.
It also fixed my upper border comment!
