Emergency: Exam report is gone :S

Hi fellows.
I have been writing on my rapport for a few days now, and I was nearly done. I saved it and turned off my computer. I may have turned off(power went off while saving) while it was saving, but I have had previous saves. Possible to retrieve my rapport? 10 pages is gone into less and its all #####################################. Or at least an earlier version of my rapport?

What can the problem be :S?

Sadly, nothing to do: 22 page term paper replaced with pound signs.
