Writer document is corrupted

Post by cumeo89 »

My friend's computer went out of power while he was saving his document. When he opened the document again, it was full of # characters.

I read the topic here: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... =7&t=30870. However, I post his file here hoping that someone can fix it. I tried Object Fix Zip but it said that the file is "incomplete" :-(

What should we do now? Does OpenOffice save a backup file somewhere in the file system?

Sorry, nothing to be done: 22 page term paper replaced with pound signs.

The backup folder may be hidden, see [Tutorial] The OOo user profile.
