Icon for changing language

Post by SPOKMIK »

Hello.

A suggestion: could anyone create an icon on the menu line, to facilitate changing the language in current document?
Justification: I write documents in various languages, one in English, another in French, then again in Spanish or Danish. It would be a lot easier if one could just change the language for current document from an icon, instead of going through the menus.
Just a suggestion.

Did you try a right-click on the language display in the status bar?

We who are challenged by one language do not have this problem. ;)

But have you tried creating a template for documents in each language?
Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages > Default languages for documents
Check the box "For the current document only"
Then File > Templates > Save

Just a suggestion... ;)
You might try a user-defined menu.
(1) Record your "going through the menus" as macro (each language - a macro).
(2) Create a new menu and add the macros as Menu Content (Tools > Customize > Menus > New... / Add... / Modify...)

The first group in the menu shows "Language > For all Text",
the second group "Language > For Selection".
