I copied and pasted a page of text and saved it as a MS Office 97 Word doc. I was able to open and read it until today. Now it is all "pound signs" (############). Other saved docs are opening fine ... so are odt's, txt's, ods's etc... It's just a Chicken Parmesan recipe , so no big deal but I'm just wondering what may have happened and if it is recoverable.
OS: Windows 7
Open Office Ver: 3.2
Date Saved: December, 2008
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum!
See that thread: 22 pages term paper replaced with pound signs.
I fear there is no fix.

Not recoverable I fear, but a good reason to save your files in OOO's own format and save copies in Word's format only when needed.
