I have a fairly large document, 183 pages, built using 22 .odt files. I spent several months on this using 3.0.0 and eventually 3.0.1
After doing a clean Windows install, I installed 3.1.0
Unfortunately, now I can't open the ODM file I created. Reverting to my old HD with 3.0.1 still on it, I can easily open the ODM, and with 3.1.0 I can still open the ODT files, however recreating the ODM is easily going to be at least a day's work.
Has anyone else experienced this?
**EDITED TO ADD**
When I say I "can't open", OOo actually crashes.

Re: Master Document broken in 3.1?
Try to reset your OOo user profile perhaps, but don't transfer your personal data during the welcome process (if you had 2.x before), configuration files from the former version might corrupt the new profile.

Now that I've paid more attention, I see part of the problem.
First run of 3.1 freezes, and apparently does not correctly set up the profile.

A word of advice. Make a copy of your master document and subfiles so that you have an untouched master in case anything goes wrong.
