I found a really weird behaviour on one Writer document loaded on OOo 3 rc4. On some pages, if I click on the first characters of any line the cursor jumps to the beginning of the page or even to the footer of the previous page!. If I cut the last 30 pages from the document, this behaviour disappears!
Here it is a sample file
(don't waste your time reading it: I messed up the characters to make it unreadable)
I marked some of the problematic pages (there are more) by highlighting part of the text in red. If you have the Linux Libertine font in your system, the highlighted text will correspond to the text that makes the cursor jump.
The file does not show the problem when opened with OOo 2.4.1.
I'm using the 64 bits version of rc4 on Linux. If someone else can reproduce the problem, I'll fill an issue.

Yep. I see it too, in the red zones. OOo3rc4 (x86) on Fedora 9.
Same for me: cutting the last pages off fixes the problem.
No problem with the same doc in 2.4.1.

Can't reproduce that with 3.0 final on my W2k system.

Ok, I'll download it and see what happens. Problem is that the 64 bits version is not available yet...Hagar de l'Est wrote:Can't reproduce that with 3.0 final on my W2k system.
EDIT: the final version is the rc4: m9 9358. Just in case I downloaded the 32 bits version and it shows the same problem. Because Hagar cannot see the problem on Win-doze I suppose that this is a Linux related issue.
Here it is the issue:

I confirm I also see that on my xubuntu system (Hardy) with final release (32 bits).
