Hello!
I'm trying to set up a collaboration team on a WebDav server. All works fine, I can open, edit and save the documents directly on the server.
But I noticed that the opened files are not locked on the server. This means that anyone from a team can modify a document while it is already open for editing by someone.
Is there some kind of concurrence?
Thank in advance for any help.
Misha

Re: WebDav server file locking
For file locking, it's related to the variable SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING : Environment Variables.
NB: moved your thread to the Setup and Troubleshouting forum.

Re: WebDav server file locking
Hagar, thank you for the reply, bu it doesn't resolve the problem.
I set the variable SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING on the Windows XP, where my OO runs. It doesn't lock the files on the WebDav linux server.
Another suggestions?
Thanks,
Misha

It also seems that the file locking system is not so robust when environment is cross-platform, see here: Collaboration for Calc with Shared Spreadsheets. NB: collaborative edition will be available in 3.0.
