odt file has 0 byte after computer crashed
Hi im running OO 3.2 on a Ubuntu 10.00. While writeing my computer crashed. After Reboot OO Word Process told me he would recoverd the File. After that he told me that the file is locked by an unknowen user. Sadly the file seems to have 0 Byte. I also tried to cat the file. How is that possible. Is there any way to get my data back?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Check the temporary folder of the system (see in OOo Tools>Options>OOo>Paths). If there are folders like sgmlf.tmp with a file having the same name inside, make a copy of that file, rename it in .odt and cross your fingers.
To remove the lock, just delete the hidden file .~lock.filename.odt# in the folder containing the file. But it's just to stop the warning about the locked file.
NB: do you mean Ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10?
