[Solved] JRE error after 3.1 upgrade

After upgrading to 3.1 from 3.0, and installing the most recent Java, I get a recurring error message that jre is defective. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both, but the error continues. I can open my OO docs, but cannot edit and save. Read-Only is NOT activated. Once I click SAVE, the error message pops up and won't even let me close the doc.

Please HELP!

SOLUTION: Had to go into tools, options and path the jre
