Windows XP Prof. Have been using OO ver 2.1 and attempted to install ver 2.3. The installation starts and then tells me I need to "Insert OpenOffice 2.1 disc". I have never had a disc. So, I tried to 'uninstall' my version 2.1 and I get a similar message that I need to insert the 2.1 disc in order to continue. I have dissabled the 'Quickstart' before trying to install ver 2.3 or uninstall ver 2.1.
I am baffled! Any suggestions on how to get the ver 2.1 uninstalled??

The msi file which contains the information needed to uninstall 2.1 has been deleted or corrupted. Reinstalling 2.1 will replace the msi file. You should then be able to install 2.3. If you need to download 2.1, it can be found at filehippo.com.
