Hello, I've a problem with OpenOffice.org.
My father use Microsoft Office Excel to create documents for work and they have a password at the start, but if he open they with OpenOffice.org Spreadsheet it opens they without asking the password!! Then, if he save they as Excel format, it erases the password.
So he can't use it!
Help, it's important! (Please!)

Yes, MS Office 'encryption' is so loose that OOo can read it.
But as the MS Office format is a closed one (no specification available), OOo has no way to know how to implement it. So there is no way. Either only use OOo or MS Office. Or use a third party application to encrypt the file.

Well, I ran a Google search and got so many hits that I'll just post a link to the PGP wiki page : Pretty Good Privacy.
