[Solved+Issue] Can not load library LXBCPRP.DLL
[Solved+Issue] Can not load library LXBCPRP.DLL
System :- Windows XP
On upgrade to Ooo 3.3 :- Message "Can not load library LXBCPRP.DLL using default. Error 126" was displayed. That DLL revealed after search but access to Oo Calc and Writer files failed with message "system cannot find files". These files are there when search facility is used but cannot be opened. System restore operations have not resolved the problem. Any advice gratefully received

Re: lost access to files
Seems to be that one: Bug 115210 - printing (CTRL+P) error 126, can not load library lxbcprp.dll, using defaults.
LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Xubuntu 23.10 and 7.6.4.1 portable on Windows 10
Re:lost access to files
Solved by reinstalling OOo 3.3 but still have issue with LXBCPRP.DLL . Many thanks.

Re: Can not load library LXBCPRP.DLL
This seems to be a problem associated with Lexmark printers; perhaps reinstalling the printer _after_ undating your OpenOffice may help. Worth checking the Lexmark site for a fix - the same problem shows up with some Microsoft applications.

Re: [Solved+Issue] Can not load library LXBCPRP.DLL
The only way out is to downgrade to OOo 3.2.1 - which is hard enough as the repository isn't anymore available as simple as it was, when 3.2.1 was released (at least to me). My only chance was a downloadable cd labeled PROOo-box something. The main web-page for these CDs is closed, but the packages are still available on some places.
Although all what you can find in the web is true (this bug is NOT directly an bug of OpenOffice, this bug applies to eg outlook too, the file lxbcprp.dll is a lexmark file), I'm quite desperate about the reaction of openoffice development, simply saying "this is not our bug". It might not be a bug, but in any case it is a severe problem that is elicitated and solveable by OpenOffice software as the solution downgrade shows.

Re: [Solved+Issue] Can not load library LXBCPRP.DLL
A possible workaround might be to install the Lexmark printer as some other printer, if there is a generic (or other manufacturer's) driver that will suit. For example many Kyocera printers will install as HP laserjets. I don't know about Lexmark printers, but it would not be surprising if there was some level of driver compatibility.

Re: [Solved+Issue] Can not load library LXBCPRP.DLL
Disappointed that this isn't solvable, I've looked on forums, with no luck.
To go back to 3.2.1, I searched my PC for files with 3.2.1 in the name, and found the older .exe
It was called OOo_3.2.1_Win_x86_install-wJRE_en-GB.exe
I hope this helps some people.
It wouldn't install until I used Control Panel to uninstall 3.3
Then I installed 3.2.1 again. 3.2.1 was very good and I'm happy with it.
I really hope a fix or workaround can be posted sometime.

For me, it was a Firefox issue. First update print drivers. Then remove Firefox. Restart computer. I then use Ccleaner to clean registry. Then reinstall Firefox. This worked for me.
