Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.3.1
What Operating System (version) are you using? Vista
What is your question or comment?
If I click on a document through a website that should open in Word, it won't open in Open Office Writer. I get a message asking what program I want to use with no option to use OO.
In some cases it asks me to save, if I do it then saves it in OO writer and I can view it, but if there is no option to save, I can't view the document.
Does anyone have any idea how I can make it default for everything, so I can open Word links etc from webpages?
I'm not the most computer literate person around so very simple language please or I will be confused
Thanks
Documents wont open from the internet. Help please.

Right-click on any *.doc file in Windows Explorer, and select Open With.
C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.3\program\swriter.exe
Choose program, and if swriter is not on that list, click on Browse and find swriter.exe in:C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.3\program\swriter.exe
