[Solved] Cannot acess the extensions

Post by avaopeace »

When I click on a link to an extension from here: http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/, the page won't load. Instead the page says: The connection was reset.

My Internet connection is working and all other websites work. And I have tried reloading it countless of times for over a week.

Can someone please help me with this problem? Thank you.

For weeks some of the OOo sites have had problems. The only thing that I have found is to just keep retrying the connection till it works. A quick test and it is working at this time.

Try again and don't hesitate to try again just after a first try. It seems it's working right now and few minutes ago but I got an error message too between both moments.

Still no love from my location.
If and when I can access (that's random) the index page, it will crash on any link I click on, with "the connection was reset" msg.

Hi,
I finally got the page http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... itecontact
It requests to subscribe to the mailing list websites@extensions.openoffice.org.

I did this (sending/receiving several mails to a stupid robot).
Once subscription confirmed, I asked the robot to list me the current messages, and to get the last message.
SYMPA robot wrote:List is Private : You can not browse available files.

I sent a mail to the list, to complain on the web site. I received a message "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender", reason:
<websites@extensions.openoffice.org>: host
mailin01.openoffice.org[192.9.171.171] said: 554 5.7.1 Service unavailable;
Client host [93.17.128.3] blocked using ix.dnsbl.manitu.net; Your e-mail
service was detected by mail.ixlab.de (NiX Spam) as spamming at Sat, 28 May

http://www.dnsbl.manitu.net/lookup.php? ... 3.17.128.3 (in reply to RCPT
TO command)
Of course the client host is my ISP. The mailing list uses a stupid antispam service that wrongly blocks messages. This antispam service issued this web page:
Currently there are too many entries and removals of the IP address 93.17.128.3. The responsible administrator should take care of the blacklisting reasons now. The intended host will be removed automatically after taking effective measures against further spamming.
Conclusion
The Repository for Extensions website is practically dead since nobody maintains it anymore. Thank you, Oracle.

There is a little about the problem in the website @ extensions.openoffice.org mailing list archive at http://openoffice.org/projects/extensio ... es/archive .

You should be able to subscribe to any of the extension mailing list at http://openoffice.org/projects/extensions/lists . You do need an account to do so.

The same problem. For days, http://extensions.services.openoffice.org is unavailable or gives "502 Bad Gateway" message.

And now this:

You have attempted to post the same content multiple times.
You have attempted to post the same identical content multiple times, causing your posts to be flagged as potential spam. If this has happened in error, please report this error along with your IP address to a OpenOffice.org repository for Extensions site administrator. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Some variant of the previous messages, I suppose, which comes in Firefox.
502 Bad Gateway
nginx/0.7.65
I could see some pages but without a working search, it is not possible to find Solver Nonlinear Regression that I need.
Thank you,

In Comodo Dragon, the error message I get is
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.
In Opera, I can browser the pages, but using the search form results in "Connection closed by remote server".

In Firefox, the homepage URL returns nothing, but when I go to a specific extension, e.g. http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... /odt2daisy, http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... /NLPSolver, those pages load fine.

Pinging the server from the command line returns a normal message.

Some of the OpenOffice.org extensions are also available on the LibreOffice extensions website at http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center. Unfortunately, the solver for nonlinear regression" isn't listed there.
