CD templates

Post by david38400 »

I am trying to print my own cds and dvds as I have a printer that can do it. I use Linux Mint 7 and unfortunately have to use Windows Vista in order to creat the template with images and text. I want to do this with Linux and would like to know which applications I can use.
I have open office, but cant get anywhere with the templates. I need to creat a round cd template and impose the image, but cant find a way to do this even with 00oBlankLabels.
Can anyone help me please.
Many thanks in advance

OpenOffice can make "text on a circle" [*] and I'm fairly sure that I've seen some templates that use the feature, but it's fairly rudimentary. Putting a block of text, like a track list, into a circle is going to take some work, I think.

[*] See this tutorial for some hints: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... 74&t=13811

What brand and model printer do you want the template for? If it is a HP photosmart series you may find this attached template helpful.
