Hi,
OO 3.2.0 (Default installation settings) Win 7 Ult. 32 Bit
I've read the various posts about previews but confess to still being confused. Here's my experience:
In the Open dialogue that appears after double clicking the taskbar Quickstarter icon, I can see a preview (and Icon) for a Word '.doc' format document, but not in Windows Explorer. Why not?
In Windows Explorer I can see a preview of an odt document in the bottom pane, but not in the right hand preview pane. Why not?
Thanks,
Jem

Re: Confused about previews
For the second question, see [Solved] Thumbnail previews of .doc vs .odt files .....
For the first one, can you upload a screenshot (see: How to attach a document here)?

Re: Confused about previews
Sorry for the delayed response. Here's a screen-shot showing a highlighted odt file with a preview in the bottom pane but 'No preview available' in the right hand preview pane.

Re: Confused about previews
OOo doesn't yet provide a preview handler for Windows Explorer. The "preview" at the bottom of the Windows Explorer window is a thumbnail (image). See the enhancement request:
