Win XP - upgrade 2.3.1 - error 1935

Post by gabby3457 »

I found information on this same error for a Vista machine, but I have an XP with the same error.

I tried the fix mentioned in that topic, but didn't work. Tried downloading the file from 3 different places and still get the same error.

Error 1935. An error occur during the assembly installation : di_types,publicKeyToken="ce2cb7e279207b9e", version="1.1.11.0",culture="neutral".

anyone have an answer?

As I was quite fed up to see all the links pointing to other threads that pointed to other threads again and so on, here are the main root causes I've found:
- Conflict with a firewall or antivirus (especially Avira)
- MS Windows bug: You may receive an "Error 1935" error message when you use the Netfx.msi Windows Installer package to install the .NET Framework 1.1
- MS Windows bug: BUG: Error 1935 During Install of the .NET Framework.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

Sorry, there was no offense!
It's just that I think that the threads we point to should have the answer right away to avoid the user to be lost in again another "tree" of further threads; it gives me tons of tabs in the browser, it's not so practical.
